Band News | When RECLASSIFIED and Sustainable Design Redefine the Hotel Personal Care Experience
2025.Mar.07

In recent years, the hotel industry has been undergoing a silent revolution—shifting from single-use, small bottles of personal care products to eco-friendly, large-format packaging, and from industrial fragrances to bespoke scents that tell cultural stories. This transformation is not only a response to evolving policies but also a reflection of consumers’ dual pursuit of quality and local cultural experiences.

In the midst of this change, RECLASSIFIED —the first original perfume brand to introduce the “light salon” concept in China—has partnered with WHATINSPIRES to launch a hotel amenity line featuring the “Peach Blossom Valley” fragrance. This collection, which marries Oriental aesthetics with environmental values, redefines the olfactory experience within hotel spaces.

Backed by an Original “Light Salon” Perfume Brand

Born in Shanghai, RECLASSIFIED  has shattered the traditional, aloof image of classic perfumes with its “light salon” concept from the very beginning. By streamlining complex processes and lowering price barriers, the brand has fused the artistry of salon fragrances with everyday use. Its product range—spanning perfumes, scented candles, and personal care items—allows consumers to effortlessly experience the beauty of fragrance.

Every product carries its own unique narrative. Collections such as “Timless Chopin” and “A Dream of Red Mansions” intertwine literature, history, and scent, imbuing each creation with emotional value that goes beyond mere functionality. The “Peach Blossom Valley” series, in particular, draws inspiration from the idyllic utopia depicted in Tao Yuanming’s writings, conveying a timeless Oriental aesthetic through its fragrance composition.

As of 2023, RECLASSIFIED has established more than 100 offline stores nationwide. Its innovative “DIY fragrance blending” service even transforms consumers into perfumers crafting their own signature scents. This creative approach not only enhances brand engagement but has also emerged as a core competitive advantage setting it apart from other fragrance brands.

Innovations in the Hotel Guestroom Wash & Care Series

Replicating a Classic Fragrance:
The Peach Blossom Valley series builds on the fragrance profile of the brand’s retail perfume of the same name. It opens with a crisp, sweet blend of lemon and peach; unfolds into a heart of green tea and lotus that exudes subtle elegance; and settles with a base of musk, recreating the lush, vibrant imagery of “verdant meadows and cascading blossoms” as evoked in the classic tale.

Enhanced Ingredients for an Elevated Washing Experience:
This series encompasses shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, lotion, and liquid soap—catering to guests’ comprehensive care needs from hair to skin. Formulated with peach extract, rich in vitamins and antioxidants, and silver ear extract—dubbed the “plant hyaluronic acid” of skincare for its exceptional moisturizing and water-locking properties—each product delivers a luxurious cleansing experience.

Sustainable Design in the Details:
The bottles are crafted from recyclable PET material, each with a capacity of 360 ml—reducing plastic usage by 80% compared to traditional small bottles, thereby meeting the evolving eco-friendly standards of the hotel industry. The pump head features an anti-contamination design to safeguard product quality and safety, while the transparent level indicator allows housekeeping staff to quickly assess refill needs. Additionally, the cleverly concealed hanger not only maintains the room’s aesthetic appeal but also prevents accidental removal by guests.

The evolution from “small bottles to large bottles” signifies more than a packaging innovation—it represents the industry’s profound commitment to sustainable development and cultural expression. Through its cross-industry collaboration in the realm of hotel fragrances and personal care, RECLASSIFIED  transform every stay into a journey of exploring Oriental aesthetics.
